Development
The origins of our company which is rich in tradition go back as far as 1894 when it was founded in a little village called Wiesa in the eastern part of Gemany. The first school cones and Easter Eggs were developed and produced. 1936 the grand father of the recent director Ursula Nestler founded a company for wire processing. Her father combined the two companies in 1953. From there on, wire-processed articles (“Drahterzeugnisse”) and cardboard-processed articles (“Feinkartonagen”) were produced in one company. After the meanwhile forced nationalization in 1972, the company was returnted to the Nestler family in 1990. 1994 the wire-processing department changed to a new acquired building in Ehrenfriedersdorf, directed by Andreas Nestler, the brother of Ursula Nestler.
1997 the company started to invest into a new location for the cardboard-processing department and for the entire administration of the company. The complete move from the over 110 years location Wiesa to the new industrial area in Ehrenfriedesdorf took place in 1998. The new building presents now a modern production area with very good logistic terms. In June 2005 the Nestler company looks back on over 110 years company history with numerous representatives of politics and economy. Since 2007 the “Nestler GmbH Feinkartonagen” and “Nestler GmbH Drahterzeugnisse” are two independent companies.
